BRIAN SCHORN

Brian Schorn was born in Alpena, Michigan in 1961. His education includes an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College; an MFA in graphic design from Cranbrook Academy of Art; an MFA in creative writing from Brown University; an MFA in photography from the University of Michigan; and a BFA in photography from the Center for Creative Studies. He studied music with Fred Frith, Alvin Curran, Pauline Oliveros, Chris Brown and Maggi Payne. Performances of Schorn's music include "Language Sound Barrier" in Vienna, Austria; "Pulsefield: An International Exhibition of Sound Art" in Atlanta, Georgia; "Signal Flow" in Oakland, California; and "Electrolune" in Lunel, France.
